World of Warcraft: Forever classes — what changed
Aggregate counts across all 9 classes in the WoW: Forever beta: how many talents and abilities are new or changed versus the classic game.
How we calculate
The table shows three numbers per class and category (talents, abilities): new, changed and the total count — plus the combined percentage touched.
Sort the table by overall percent changed, by talents or abilities alone, or by class name — the list below reorders instantly.

Questions and answers
What do "new" and "changed" talents or abilities mean?
"New" means it did not exist before Forever. "Changed" means it existed in the classic game but its effect, cost or mechanic differs in Forever. The remainder of the total is unchanged.
What does "overall % changed" mean?
The share of a class's new and changed talents AND abilities combined, out of their combined total — not the average of two separate percentages, but a weighted sum, so a class with a larger ability pool has more influence on the result.
Does a high % changed mean the class got stronger or weaker?
No. It only measures how much of the class's content was rewritten for Forever — it says nothing about balance or power.
Does this tool include the full effect text for every talent or ability?
No, deliberately. This tool shows only aggregate counts. The full per-rank effect text for every talent, ability and racial ability across all classes is a separate, much larger database maintained by the publisher, which we do not reproduce.
Are these numbers final?
No. The data comes from a single available source (wowforevertools.com) as of the 2026-09-22 beta. The numbers may change before the 2026-11-04 release.
