How we calculate

Each player gets 3,250 for a win, or 3,500 if the round ended with the bomb exploding or being defused. A loss pays a bonus that grows with every consecutive loss: 1,400, 1,900, 2,400, 2,900 and a maximum of 3,400. A win does not reset the bonus; it drops it by one step. Each half starts on the second step, so losing the pistol round pays 1,900.

Terrorists who lose but plant the bomb get an extra 800 each. A terrorist who survives to the end of the round without the bomb planted gets nothing. Kill rewards depend on the weapon: knife 1,500, shotguns 900 (XM1014 600), SMGs 600 (P90 300), rifles, pistols and grenades 300, and the AWP, CZ75-Auto and Zeus 100 each.

You cannot hold more than 16,000: anything above is lost. These numbers are for Competitive and Premier; community servers and other modes may use different values.

Questions and answers

How much does losing the pistol round pay?

1,900, not 1,400: each half starts on the second step of the loss bonus. Lose the second round too and you get 2,400.

Does the loss bonus reset after a win?

No, it only drops one step. For example, after five losses and one win, the next loss pays 2,900, not 1,400.

Why do terrorists sometimes get 0?

A terrorist who survives to the end of the round without the bomb planted gets no loss bonus. It is how the game punishes saving weapons instead of playing the objective.

What is the most money you can have?

16,000 in Competitive and Premier. Anything above is lost, so with a full bank it pays to buy and drop weapons for teammates.
